The Journey Begins

First let me say, WOW!  I’ve had this desire for so long to be able to “do” something with the Internet.  I’ve dabbled a tiny bit in web design, kept in touch on Facebook, created pages for my classroom and other organizations, but still the desire to do something more remains.  And so, my blogging journey begins today!

At one point I wanted to create my own web page, but I wasn’t sure why or what I wanted to put on it.  Then I discovered blogging.  At first reading blogs was something that I did only when I happened upon them in search of specific information.  Then I noticed that blogs are basically online journals that people share.  That’s when it hit me.  This longing that I’ve had now has a purpose; to share what God has done for me and where He’s leading me.

I hope you’re still hanging on.  Opening the pages of my heart is like telling a story in which all of the events happen at once!  At the same time that my hobby and interest in online tools was growing, my heart was growing as well.  I ADORE my husband!  God has blessed me with a Godly man!  With that said, my heart aches for those couples who don’t adore one another as we do.  Sometimes I want to grab women and say, “Look what you’re doing to your husband!  He’s trying to be the Spiritual Leader, and you’re pushing him away!  Do you really expect him to still be with you in 10 years?”  Sometimes I feel so helpless!  I want to help them, but they must first have the desire to want to change.

Now, are you putting all of this together yet?  I love my husband and want to share what I’ve learned as a wife, mother, and even school teacher.  I have a growing interest in the wonderful World Wide Web.  So…I want to blog my journey as the helper to my husband that God has called me to be.

As for now, I have no idea which direction this blog will take.  I do have some goals in mind, but I don’t know if each topic will be included on this blog, or if each topic will be on separate blogs.  In reality, all of the topics go together.  My role as my husband’s helper includes mothering his children, preparing our household, and keeping our household healthy and safe.

I pray that you continue to read as this blog grows.  If I author separate blogs, I will try to link those to this one.  My prayer is that, no matter who reads this, it will help you grow in the Lord!
